Student Circles

Student Circles consist of small groups of students working collaboratively to develop social-emotional skills and address anxiety,  bullying, and behavioral difficulties.  These groups will be developed and organized with the input of school counselors, social workers, and school climate staff.  During Circles, students will participate in collaborative art-making such as writing poetry, drawing comics, or constructing 3D models. These collaborative projects will be a conduit for students to develop communication skills, teamwork, perseverance, self-expression, and confidence.

  • 7th Grade Lunch Club

During lunch, 7th grade students came to the art room and engaged in a variety of art-making activities. As students beaded, painted, and made their own sketchbooks they talked and shared with one another.

  • Storybook Project

The Storybook Project gave students an opportunity to explore their creativity, reflect on their neighborhoods, and promote the importance of literacy through the creation of their own stories.
