The Creative Arts and Restorative Education Program
Build Community. Support Self-Discovery. Encourage Creativity.
The C.A.R.E Program consists of mural projects, social-emotional student groups, and extracurricular arts programs at Julia de Burgos Elementary School in North Philadelphia. These programs will build community, promote self-discovery, and encourage creativity among students through restorative practices and art-making. Restorative practices are those that focus on strengthening relationships and connections between students and staff to create a more positive school climate.
